Waste Water Treatment Facility

WASTE WATER TREATMENT

Wastewater is water whose physical, chemical or biological properties have been changed as a result of the introduction of certain substances which render it unsafe for some purposes such as drinking. The day to day activities of man is mainly responsible for water pollution. Wastewater origins include industrial, domestic, and municipal.

Core Plant Classifications

Our engineering team designs and implements custom treatment facilities that meet stringent environmental regulations while maximizing resource recovery and operational efficiency.

A. Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

Designed for commercial complexes, residential colonies, and industrial townships. Our STP units utilize advanced technologies to produce odorless, recycled water suitable for gardening, flushing, and cooling towers. Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater and household sewage, both runoff (effluents) and domestic. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove physical, chemical and biological contaminants.

B. Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP)

Effluent treatment plants are designed to treat the effluent coming from different areas of the plant. The treatment of different effluents varies with the type of effluent. The treatment of the effluent may involve physical, chemical or biological processes. These plants are essential for manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

C. Zero Liquid Discharge Plant (ZLD)

The ultimate solution for environmental compliance. ZLD systems ensure that no wastewater leaves your facility, recovering up to 98% of process water for reuse within the plant. This is achieved through advanced filtration, RO, and evaporation techniques.

The Three Stages of Effluent Treatment

Primary Treatment

Removal of physical solids through screening, sedimentation, and oil/grease separation. This critical first step protects downstream equipment from damage and clogging.

  • Screening of large solids
  • Grit removal
  • Primary sedimentation

Secondary Treatment

Biological processes using aerobic or anaerobic microorganisms to degrade dissolved organic matter. Includes Activated Sludge Process (ASP) and Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) technology.

  • Aeration tanks
  • Biological degradation
  • Secondary clarification

Tertiary Treatment

Final polishing phase using advanced filtration, UV disinfection, and chemical neutralization to produce water safe for reuse or environmentally compliant discharge.

  • Sand and carbon filtration
  • Disinfection (UV/Chlorine)
  • Advanced oxidation

What Are The Stages of Sewage Treatment?

Stage 1: Separation

The first stage involves separating the solid matter from the liquid. This is typically done in a settlement tank where heavier solids sink to the bottom as sludge, and lighter materials float to the surface to be skimmed off.

Stage 2: Aerated Aerobic Breakdown

The liquid phase is then aerated to provide oxygen to naturally occurring aerobic bacteria. These bacteria consume the dissolved and suspended organic matter, breaking it down into harmless byproducts.

Stage 3: Settlement

The final stage allows any remaining biological floc or sludge to settle out of the treated water. The clear water is then discharged or further polished for reuse.
